~ New releases include Mark Heard covers
Veteran singer-songwriter Bob Bennett and newcomer Jason Gay both cover a Mark Heard song on their new releases. Bob covers "Heart of Hearts," one of Mark's best known tunes from the 80's, and Jason does a beautiful take on Mark's "Look Over Your Shoulder." Way to go guys! Keep Mark's music alive.

PS  Don't forget to support the brilliant singer-songwriter Pierce Pettis as well. His 2001 release, State of Grace, included a cover of "Rise From The Ruins." Since Mark's passing, Pierce has included a Mark Heard tune on each and every of his releases, and if he continues to do so, Pettis soon will be able to release a Mark Heard tribute album all on his own!
